Do It Myself
Customers who have, on-staff, a team of professionally trained technicians sometimes choose to keep the maintenance and repair functions in house. If that’s the option that best fits your needs, Milton CAT is committed to offering you flexible support to complement your efforts.
We can provide your technicians with training, information, systems support and technology, and we always remain ready to increase our participation as your needs evolve. Our range of tools for the “Do It Myself” customer includes the following:
Service Information System (SIS) on the web. Directly from Caterpillar, the latest service manuals and parts information on all your equipment are available online at your convenience, and updated daily.
Scheduled Oil Sampling (S-O-S) and fluid reports. This specialized maintenance tool lets you avoid unscheduled downtime and get accurate information for one machine or for your entire fleet. To choose this option, order a Milton CAT S-O-S kit, and you’ll receive instructions on how to send your samples to our labs for analysis.
Timely, easy to understand reports appear online the day after the lab completes your analysis. Samples highlighted in red mean that your immediate attention is required; samples highlighted in yellow mean caution; and green means normal results. Historical report data can be graphed to show trends over your equipment life. An online option for “Technical Discussion” allows you to get in touch with an oil sample expert for further help.
Equipment Manager. Choose from three levels of assistance – Asset Watch, which helps you protect your machines from unauthorized use; Maintenance Watch, scheduling maintenance and forecasting parts, fluid and labor needs; Manager Health Watch, extending equipment life and preventing unscheduled downtime.
