CAT Certified Powertrain Rebuilds
Milton CAT customers who have a reliable, productive older CAT machine that’s well suited to the jobs it performs can often find the Certified Powertrain Rebuild option particularly appealing. This is a very efficient and cost-effective method for getting maximum life and maximum value from your original investment.
In order to deliver a customized plan and a careful estimate, the Milton CAT Certified Powertrain Rebuild process begins with an inspection and evaluation that consists of up to 200 tests. The engine, transmission, torque converter, radiator, final drive and axle are completely disassembled and then inspected, reconditioned and updated with new or qualified parts. The complete Powertrain Rebuild Program performed by the experts at Milton CAT includes automatic replacement of approximately 3,000 parts.
Before installation, each component is thoroughly bench-tested; torques, clearances and pressure settings are maintained and recorded; engine wire harnesses are replaced. Rigorous testing is conducted throughout the entire process to maintain the highest levels of quality.
As part of the Milton CAT Certified Powertrain Rebuild, any critical improvement that has been made to that particular model since its original manufacturing is also incorporated into the powertrain of the old machine.
At Milton CAT, the Powertrain Rebuild process is not considered complete until your operators are satisfied with the performance of the rebuilt powertrain in its working environment.
